The TG ends means that you do not have to put the boards at joists or studs. It goes up quicker, saves waste, and looks great! No face nailing needed on any of our patterns, including shiplap. Use a nickel as a spacer between every board in a run and between each run (Images 3 and 4). Periodically make sure your boards are level.
