Every F-350 with duel rear wheels I've seen in the junk yards has had a hand E-brake located on the passenger side of the tranny. I'm not 100% cetain that the F-350 with single rear wheels got it too. It seemed to have been a 1-ton and heavier deal. F-250's didn't get the hand brake.

And Yes, the ZF-6 has helical cut gears. The one in your first link has a helical cut driven gear. But the angle may be different.
